Nearly fifty years on Albany Highway
Albany Interiors was founded in 1976 and has served local families and businesses for close to fifty years. We are part of the Choices Flooring network, which in practice means national buying power with local service: the range and the pricing come through the group, while the advice and the measuring come from people who live here.

Commercial flooring
The commercial side of the business is a substantial one. We have extensive experience delivering commercial flooring projects of all scales, from schools and hospitals through to housing projects and shopping complex fit-outs. For those jobs we supply and install carpet tiles, vinyl, hybrid and safety flooring built to hold up in demanding, high-traffic environments, and we work to the compliance requirements that come with them, including slip resistance, fire ratings and industry standards, so an installation meets the relevant Australian regulations. We have completed projects across retail, hospitality, healthcare, education and corporate spaces.
On larger builds we take on project management, working closely with builders, designers and property managers to keep timelines on track. Sales and estimating for commercial work sit with Andrew Bergsma and Jason Adami.
How a flooring job runs, from first conversation to final walkthrough
We set out the process on our own page as five steps, and it is worth knowing before you start.
- A free consultation, where we sit down and talk through what you need, the style you are after and the budget you have.
- A free measure, where we come to the property, take precise measurements and assess the site.
- Product selection, browsing samples in the showroom and using our Room Visualiser to see a product in your own space before you commit to it.
- Installation by our qualified installers, done with as little disruption as we can manage.
- A final quality check, a walkthrough to make sure you are happy with the floor before we call it finished.
In-home consultations are part of that too, and the reason is a practical one: a sample looks different in your own lighting than it does under showroom lights, and that is where the choice usually gets settled.
Who you will be dealing with
We are a small enough team to name ourselves. Andrew Bergsma is the owner and manager and works across commercial sales and estimating. James Pongas and Emma Schoof are our consultants on retail sales. Jason Adami covers commercial sales and estimating. If you have been in before, you will generally get the same person again.
The area we cover
We are not only an Albany shop. Our service area runs across the Great Southern, taking in Walpole, Denmark, Mount Barker, Kojonup, Katanning, Lake Grace, Lake King, Jerramungup and Bremer Bay, among others. Being out of town does not put you outside the area we measure and quote in.
Hours and getting started
