With Fremantle Markets, the Cappuccino Strip, Fishing Boat Harbour and local beaches just a short walk away, it’s a great base for discovering Fremantle, exploring Perth and planning your next adventure around Western Australia.
Run by owner Vaughan and his friendly team, Pirates has a relaxed, homely atmosphere where guests can settle in, share stories and make new friends. Accommodation includes shared dormitories, female-only dorms and private rooms, along with a communal kitchen, free Wi-Fi, laundry facilities and a leafy outdoor courtyard with a BBQ.
There’s plenty to enjoy beyond the hostel too, from surfing and snorkelling to beach volleyball and group outings. The team is also happy to share local travel tips and help backpackers looking for work, including assistance with résumés and employment contacts.
