A L D Fuel Injection: Diesel Specialists in Albany WA
We are a dedicated diesel service centre at 15 Newbey Street, Milpara. If you need diesel fuel injection repairs in Albany — a pump that has lost its calibration, injectors that are no longer delivering cleanly, a turbo that needs attention — that is the whole of what we do. We cover all aspects of diesel fuel injection, from small domestic vehicles through to large mining and agricultural vehicles and everything in between. Between us our staff have more than sixty years of combined experience on diesel systems.
Tested and Reconditioned in Our Own Workshop
Common rail injectors and pumps are repaired and reconditioned here rather than sent away. We run a Bosch EP815 and a Hartridge AVM2PC electronically controlled 20 horsepower test bench. Both are computerised and can record and print the test results for the pump under test, so you get paper on what was found and what was done. All types of diesel fuel injection systems can be tested in our facility, and when a pump leaves us it has been tested and calibrated to the manufacturer’s specifications.
The benches take traditional, two stage and high-pressure common rail injectors and pumps, and we service equipment from the major diesel fuel injection manufacturers — Bosch, Zexel, Denso, Delphi, Siemens VDO and Stanadyne. On the agricultural side we repair and service most makes, Cat and Cummins among them. We are monitored on our level of expertise, the standard of our equipment and the general housekeeping of the workshop. We use Bosch products because of the quality they represent, and all repairs and injector testing are done with quality in mind, aiming at a good product at a fair price.
Hard Starting, Smoke and a Lack of Power
Since high-pressure common rail arrived, two faults come through the door again and again: excessive return flow, and dribbling nozzles. The symptoms are the ones owners describe to us on the phone — hard starting, erratic idling, smoke and a lack of power. Because these units cost what they cost, it is cost effective to know whether they are genuinely faulty or whether the trouble lies elsewhere on the vehicle. That is what a diagnostic appointment is for, and it is worth booking one before you commit to replacing anything.
Our electronic diagnostics inspect and test the faults on a fuel injection system using computer diagnostic equipment made for the job, and we use them on small domestic vehicles as well as on large industrial ones.
What We Work On
A clean injection system, free from tiny grit particles, is what lets a diesel engine deliver precise amounts of fuel. Most of what comes through our door is a variation on that problem.
