What we clean
Carpets are the bulk of the work, but they are not all of it. We clean the things around them too, and we choose the method to suit the surface rather than putting everything through the same machine.
Our services
- Carpets: steam cleaning by hot water extraction, or encapsulation where a low-moisture clean suits better.
- Tile and grout: a chemical and agitation to lift the dirt, then hot water and pressure to clean and extract it.
- Upholstery and leather: cleaned with care, with a fabric protector available to guard a couch against future spills.
- Mattresses: cleaned and sanitised with products that are harmless to pets and people.

How a clean runs
We work through the same five steps every time. First we identify the carpet type, whether it is wool, nylon or polypropylene, because that decides the cleaning agent and the method. Then we vacuum, so you do not have to; that is part of the service. We walk the job with you and talk through any stains or damaged patches before we start. After that the cleaning agent goes on, and the carpet is cleaned using the method that suits it. Jo will move light furniture to open up the cleaning area, and he can set up air movers to help the carpet dry. Carpets normally dry in three to six hours, depending on the weather, how dirty they were and the method used, and furniture should stay off them for 24 hours. Around 95 per cent of stains come out, though that depends on what the stain is and how long it has been sitting there.

Jo took the business over from Kevin Treeby in December 2018.
