Albany Lock & Security — formerly Albany Lock Service & Superior Security — has been operating since 1995. Craig Hart owns the business and brings more than 20 years in the industry. The team on the floor is Craig, James, Tristan, Lucas and Ben. We are agents for BiLock and EVVA restricted key systems.
Our commercial work includes the City of Albany, Albany Health Campus, Southern Regional TAFE, the Department of Parks and Wildlife at Albany and Walpole, the Shires of Plantagenet, Jerramungup and Gnowangerup, and Denmark Agricultural College.

Our services
- Residential: door and window lock installation and repair, rekeying, deadlocks fitted to meet insurance requirements, roller door locks and remotes, entrance sets, trilocks and domestic safes.
- Commercial: commercial locks and fittings, hardware supply and servicing, and work for rental properties and property management companies.
- Automotive: cutting and copying keys for almost all models, programming keys to vehicles, supplying and programming remotes, and lock supply and repair.
- Key cutting: domestic, automotive and specialty keys, cut on duplicating and code machines from quality blanks. If we do not have a blank, we can source it.
- Safes: supply, installation, servicing and repair, from key cabinets to gun safes and modular vaults.
- Security doors and screens: supply, site assessment and installation.
- Access control: mechanical push button locks, standalone electronic and proximity units, and hard-wired card or keypad systems, including SALTO.
- Emergency: 24/7 mobile service for domestic, commercial and vehicle lockouts, lock repairs and safes.
Our service vehicles carry onsite key cutting gear and stock, so a lot of jobs are finished at your place rather than back at the shop.
Restricted key systems, safes and security doors
Master and restricted key systems are a core part of what we do. A system can be as simple or as layered as you need: a master key that opens everything, a manager’s key that opens everything except the director’s office, a staff key for the front door and lunch room. We handle the design and consultation so the system works the way you actually operate, and we keep records on key management software that requires proper authority before a key is ordered. We supply BiLock, EVVA DPS and Lockwood Generation6 restricted systems, and we can set customers up on Key Manager 7 with training and support.
On automotive work, we have supplied and coded transponder keys since they first appeared on the Australian market, and we can work with your insurer to replace keys that were lost or stolen. Worn keys are decoded and cut back to factory specification rather than copied from the worn original.
We have been supplying and installing security doors and screens in the Great Southern since the 1990s. Our range covers Secureview Eclipx stainless steel, Xceed perforated aluminium mesh, diamond mesh, flyscreens and Phantom retractable screens. Stainless doors are made up in our local workshop, and our own installers fit them. Site assessment and quotation are obligation free. For safes, we have access to manufacturers including Chubb, CMI, Dominator and Rhino, covering fire resistant, in-ground, in-wall, deposit, data storage, gun and drug safes.

Come down to Unit 1, 12 Minna Street and have a look. The showroom displays safes, domestic and commercial locks, alarm systems and security cameras, and the workshop behind it holds key cutting machines, code software and the barrels, blanks and components the trade runs on. There are vehicle bays for cutting and programming car keys, and a waiting area for jobs that take a little longer.
Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm. The office is closed Saturday and Sunday.
