Since 1998 we have been building sheds, patios and homes for the people of Albany, Mt Barker, Walpole, Denmark and the surrounding areas. We are a fully licensed builder and a locally owned and run business, which matters more here than it might elsewhere, because we know what the south coast weather does to a building. Every shed we design, manufacture and install is engineered to the specific conditions of your site, and there is a large range of structural options so the building suits how you will actually use it.

- Commercial sheds: spans up to 40 metres in cold form design, and larger again using other building methods.
Kit or fully installed, and built to last
Whether you want a kit to put up yourself or a complete turnkey job, we can help. Our installers handle building applications, earthworks, power and even hooking up your rainwater tank, so you are not chasing five different trades. Every shed, patio and granny flat we supply is made in Australia with BlueScope Steel and is fully certified under the ShedSafe system. Backyard Shacks use fully galvanised steel frames with genuine COLORBOND cladding, so they will not rot and are termite resistant. As the sign says, it is not just a shed, it is a Ranbuild.
Framing options, colours and warranty
Our framing options are engineered to withstand the tough south coast conditions. They include mezzanine floors rated from 1.5kPa to 5kPa, internal partition walls clad in COLORBOND or ZINCALUME, curtain walls for a covered outdoor area, and awnings and annexes with bay sizes adjusted to fit your vehicles. Hold-down options run from cast-in base straps and columns through to chemset hold downs and J bolts for the larger industrial buildings. COLORBOND comes in the full Contemporary, Classic and Matt ranges, and we stock accessories such as whirly birds, steel staircases and roof insulation. Through BlueScope Steel we offer a 15-year warranty from the date of installation against corrosion or deterioration for buildings more than a kilometre from the coast. If your site sits closer to the water than that, talk to us first and we will confirm the warranty specifications with BlueScope.
Getting a quote
Our Easy Quote form takes a rough sketch or just a written description. We are not after architectural drawings, only the dimensions and anything you want included, such as two roller doors and a personal access door. Tell us whether you want the installation quoted as well and when you would like it finished. You can also design your own building first using the Ranbuild Shed Builder app, which lets you set the size, roof pitch and cladding colours in 3D before you speak to us. Our yard is open Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, and we are happy to talk it through in person at 161 Chester Pass Road.
