Moss Conveyancing: Settlement Agents in Albany WA
Moss Conveyancing is a property settlement agency at 12 Aberdeen Street, Albany. We have been handling property settlements in Albany since 2005. Our work covers residential settlements, commercial and rural settlements, subdivisions and new title applications, survivorship applications and changes of name.
Who you will be dealing with
Davynka Moss is the owner. She was born and raised in Albany and went to Spencer Park Primary School and Albany Senior High School. She entered the legal and property industries in 1999 as an office junior at her father’s law firm, worked up through receptionist and office administrator, and moved into settlements from there. She went to Perth in 2004 to study, returned, and opened Moss Conveyancing in 2005. Outside the office she is active with the Albany Community Foundation and the Albany Community Hospice, and she sponsors the Albany Boardriders, the Albany Sharks Football and Sporting Club, Great Southern Football League Youth Girls, the MSWA Albany Swim, the Great Southern Volunteer of the Year Awards and the Master Builders Builder of the Year Awards.
Stacey Brenton joined the firm in 2019. She started in 2006 as a paralegal in the banking and finance division of a Perth law firm and progressed to conveyancer, then relocated to Albany in 2011 to work at a local law firm, where she often assisted solicitors with legal property matters.
Kristy Ridgway moved into conveyancing in 2017. She was raised on a wheat and sheep farm out of Esperance and came to Albany at thirteen, then spent twenty years in Perth, thirteen of them in corporate banking working in the lending and settlement space. She returned to Albany in 2017. It is a useful background on a settlement file, because she has seen the same transaction from the lender’s side of it.
The administration side has been just as steady. Kate Bull joined in 2019 and is a long-time Albany local. Natalie Matsen relocated to Albany in 2019 and came on as senior administration in early 2024, with more than twenty years in senior administration across the legal, local government, mining and building industries, and voluntary roles as an events coordinator and a committee secretary. Kelly Whitelock also joined in 2024, after more than nine years across the finance and insurance industries — she began in insurance and moved into banking on returning to Albany.

Resources for buyers and sellers
Choosing to settle with us is just the beginning of a long process, so we keep a resources page for the things people end up needing along the way. It links out to a moving house checklist and Australia Post’s moving services, and to Landgate, RevenueWA and the WA stamp duty calculator. There are also links for the First Home Owners Grant, ABN lookup, the Foreign Investment Review Board, and information on applying for a capital gains withholding clearance certificate. Our settlement process page carries a buyer and seller timeline, so you can see the shape of the whole thing laid out before you are in the middle of it.
Office, hours and how to reach us
Our office is at 12 Aberdeen Street in Albany, open from 8:30am to 5pm. Post can go to PO Box 5487, Albany PO WA 6332. You can call us on 08 9841 2144 or email [email protected]. Each of us also has a direct email address published on our website — dm@, sb@, kr@ and assist@ mossconveyancing.com.au — so once your file sits with a particular person, you can write to that person rather than to the office and wait for it to be passed on.
If you have an offer and acceptance in front of you and you are not sure what happens next, ring the office. We will tell you what we need from you and what the next step is.
