Denmark Rivermouth Caravan Park: A Family Caravan Park in Denmark WA

We are a family owned and operated caravan park in Denmark WA, sitting right where the Denmark River flows into Wilson Inlet. The Phillips family took the park over in 2004 and have been changing and improving it ever since. We have 110 sites, all of them powered, and 15 units for short stays, from studio rooms up to three-bedroom villas. The town centre is 1.3km away, close enough to walk in for a coffee and back. The park runs on a relaxed, family friendly footing, which is what most people come here for.

On the water, and a short walk from town

The location does a lot of the work. A boat ramp and a fish cleaning bay adjoin the park, so if you have brought a boat you can be on the inlet without towing it anywhere. Fishing, boating and general messing about on the water are all right there.

Walk the other way and you are in Denmark in about fifteen minutes, where there are cafes and shops selling local merchandise. Market days are held four times a year, and the heritage trail walks start close by. If you would rather have someone else do the driving, there are wine tours with Denmark Wine Lovers and fishing charters with Madfish Charters operating in the area.

Sites and accommodation

Our powered sites number about 110. Most are grassed with a concrete slab, each around 90 square metres, with a 15 amp power supply and town water connected. We can take anything from a bike with a swag to a large RV. Pets are welcome on sites, though during peak season we limit it to one pet per site and a pet bond is payable on arrival.

Our three unit types

  • Studio rooms: open plan, sleeping up to three, with one queen bed and one king single.
  • Chalets: two bedrooms, sleeping up to four, with a queen in the main room and two singles in the second.
  • Villas: three bedrooms, sleeping up to six, with a queen and two rooms of single beds.

All three are self-contained, with a four burner gas cooktop, microwave, kettle, toaster, cutlery and crockery. Linen, bedding and towelling are supplied, though you will need to bring your own beach towels. Each has reverse cycle air conditioning, a television, and its own ensuite with shower and toilet. Pets are not permitted in any of the units, and a minimum number of nights applies over public and school holidays and other peak times.

Park facilities, cruises and the cafe

There are two ablution blocks, plus a family bathroom with disabled facilities. You will also find a chemical toilet dump point, coin operated washing machines and dryers, an undercover barbecue area and camp kitchen, and a playground for the kids.

We also run Denmark Rivermouth Cruise and Adventures out of the park, with a 4×4 bus and our river cruise boat, the Miss K-LEE. That covers beach and forest trips as well as estuary cruises for people who would rather sit still and look at the scenery. Stand up paddle boards, kayaks and paddleboats can all be hired here at the park.

The Reminisce Cafe is on site, with an outlook over the river. Phone orders are welcome on 0439 136 800.
