Lift Design: Lifts and Elevators in Albany WA

We supply, install and service lifts for commercial and residential buildings, and our Albany office is at 13 Cockburn Road. We are a family owned and operated business that has been supplying and installing commercial and residential lifts in Albany and across Western Australia for nearly 30 years, working with European manufactured lift packages. If you are weighing up a lift for a house, a shop, an office or a public building, that is the conversation we have most days.

The lift in Albany’s Tourist Information Hub is ours

Albany’s upgraded Tourist Information Hub is fitted with one of our high-speed electric passenger lifts, a 630kg car finished in stainless steel throughout to sit against the building’s exposed concrete walls. It carries residents and visitors up to the adjoining public library on the second level, and it was installed to satisfy the building’s accessibility requirements. It is the sort of job that shows what we mean by a high specification finish — a lift in a public building gets looked at every day, so how it is finished matters as much as how it runs.

What we can put in

Our range covers homes and commercial buildings, and it goes up to eight storeys. Because the components are European manufactured and we customise rather than drop in a standard box, a lift can be worked around a shaft you already have, an awkward set of dimensions, or an entry point on a different side of the upper floor.

Our lift range

  • Home lifts: platform and cabin lifts for houses, including our Kalea range.
  • Commercial lifts: passenger and goods lifts for shops, offices and public buildings.
  • Outdoor lifts: for the times the lift cannot sit inside the building envelope.
  • Stair lifts: where a full lift shaft is not the answer.
  • Retrofit solutions: putting a lift into a building that was not designed for one, which is a specialty of ours.
  • Bespoke lifts: customised where the standard range will not fit.
  • Accessibility: a number of the lifts in our range are designed with wheelchair access in mind.

Servicing does not stop at handover

Our service does not end once your lift is installed. We offer maintenance schedules and contracts, and we will contact you when your next service is due rather than leaving you to remember it. Our own recommendation is that a residential lift is serviced at least twice a year and preferably three times, and a commercial lift four to six times, with the frequency depending on usage and on whether the lift is indoors, outdoors or in a coastal environment — which, on this stretch of coast, is worth factoring in. When something unexpected happens we are available 24/7 and can have a technician to you the same day.

How long it takes, and how to reach the Albany office

Timing is the first thing most people ask us about. A residential lift installation usually takes two to four weeks, depending on the type of lift and how much building work and planning approval is involved. What it costs depends on the size of the lift, the building works around it and a handful of other factors, so it comes out of a quote rather than off a price list — and when we quote your lift, all of those costs are included up front.
