We are Albany Metal Recyclers, trading as Agscrap, on the corner of Reddale Road and Albany Highway. We are an Albany-owned, family-owned business handling scrap metal recycling in Albany, and we take all metals. Our aim is to recycle at least 95 per cent of the ferrous and non-ferrous material that comes through the yard, so less of it ends up in landfill here in Albany.
Copper, Brass and Steel
We are licensed to buy copper, brass and all steel products. We mention it plainly because copper is worth stealing, and we would rather you brought yours to a licensed yard than to a dodgy operator.
Free Drop-Off, and Bins You Can Use Any Time
Drop-off is free. We recycle all metals, and we keep bins out the front of the property with access 24/7, which is handy for a weekend job around the house. There are a few things we cannot take: no tyres, no gas bottles and no fire extinguishers. Those need to go down to the Hanrahan Road tip for special recycling.
